Different Photo Backdrop Ideas

If you’re interested in having a photo booth at your event, you might be overwhelmed at all the different backdrop options you have. Some people use balloons, others use wood paneling, whatever the case, I’m here to help narrow it down and show you some of my favorite photo booth backdrop ideas.

Flower Wall

Flower walls are a great addition to any event, and they come in hundreds of different colors to match your event aesthetic! These backdrops are perfect for bridal showers, birthdays, and weddings, but are definitely not limited to those events. Most floral walls are paired with custom neon signs, but honestly these walls are so gorgeous, you really don’t need to add anything else to them!

Balloon Backdrops

Balloon backdrops can be so fun, and there are tons of different designs you can choose from! If you’re wanting to go the balloon route, check out Pinterest! Pinterest offers a ton of different setup ideas for any event, and they help to narrow down all your ideas. If you’re looking for balloon backdrops, we have a vendor list full of amazing balloon stylists we’d love to recommend to you!

Standard Slip Covers

Slip covers go over the metal backdrop frame, and come in hundreds of different designs! While the most common slip cover backdrops have more plain colors to ensure guests ‘pop’ more in photos, there are cover options with more details and designs included.

Furniture Lounge

A furniture lounge photo backdrop has become super popular over the years, and I’m sure you can see why! They are so much fun to pose on, they make your photo booth more 3D, and they add a fun pop of color to any setup!

Furniture lounges are typically set up against a greenery wall, fabric draping, or a feature wall.

While some guests worry that furniture setups will get in the way of your guests taking photos, I’m here to tell you that isn’t the case at all! Most of your guests will stand infront of the furniture setup if they don’t want to sit, but since it’s there, almost everyone chooses to use the furniture as a prop in their photos.

The Greenery Wall

Greenery walls are one of the most popular photo backdrop options because they look great with any kind of event! People typically choose to hang a neon sign or add in floral elements to their greenery wall to really make it pop! This couple decided to add in two plush chairs for guests to use and sit in while taking photos, and it made the photobooth look that much more stylish!

Draping

There are so many types of draping you can choose for your photo backdrop, but my personal favorite is layered draping like this. It creates a really cool backdrop for any photo booth, and you can choose to use any color!

This design is created by using pipe and drape, then hanging fabric swag directly through the pipe, then ontop of it to create this layered look.

The Swing

That’s right, we have a swing! While this backdrop is a bit larger, it is so much fun for your guests to use! My favorite way to style the swing is to use balloons or florals on it, then placing it infront of a fun backdrop (like a greenery wall or draping), however this setup had a really cool textured wall we placed the swing infront of, and it definitely added to the aesthetic!

You might be wondering if the swing actually works, and I’m happy to say that YES! It does work! Your guests can choose to sit and swing for their photos, or do a staged sitting photo! We’ve also had guests stand infront of the swing setup to make for a cool backdrop too.

While your backdrop options are endless, these are some of the fun backdrops we’ve used in the past that have been a huge hit! If you’re not sure which backdrop to use for your event, schedule a consulation with us, we’d love to help you plan out an event that truly POPs!
